Lichtenstein used images from comic books, gum wrappers and advertisements, imitating the Ben Day dot pattern used in commercial printing. I Love Liberty, one of many prints created by the artist, shows the American icon in high contrast, with yellow accents and graphic parallel blue lines. This work was donated to Telfair Museums in memory of Kirk Varnedoe by the widow of the artist, Dorothy Lichtenstein.
