This portrait is the only known replica of a Sustermans portrait from the collection of Don Lorenzo de’ Medici that was lost or destroyed during World War II. Aside from the hands, which were likely painted later, this portrait is believed to be the work of Sustermans himself. It may portray Vittoria della Rovere, Grand Duchess of Tuscany.
