This marble portrait of Margaret was created by British artist Shakespeare Wood in Rome in 1852. Mary’s portrait (on view on the other side of this case) was created in Savannah in 1860 to match the size and format of Margaret’s. Both portraits are typically on view in the Drawing Room of the Telfair Academy.
