A twice-engraved crest, of a crowing cock beneath a crown, is that of Archibald Acheson (Irish, 1776-1849), Second Earl of Gosford. Silversmith Paul Storr, active in London 1792 - 1838, was England's most celebrated silversmith during the Regency Period of the early nineteenth century, producing much of the silver purchased by King George III and King George IV.
