Through works like Red Yellow and Blue, which blends painting and collage, the artist experimented with the properties of textiles. The viewer is encouraged to notice how the pieces of cloth effectively catch the light and enhance the appearance of textures and colors. The eye is drawn to the deliberate intersections of shapes on the canvas: these colorful juxtapositions create various shades—from red, yellow, and blue to brown, green, and gray.
