This untitled sculpture made of crushed automobile bumpers was displayed at Telfair Museums in the exhibition Southern Sculpture ’68. At the time, the Savannah Morning News facetiously compared the work to a steel fence crushed by a car. In line with contemporary trends of the 20th century, the artist used unconventional mediums and found objects in his work, noting, “Something happens when you crush 20 tons of metal in a big junkyard—stuff you cannot picture yourself. Those are my favorites.”
