She debuted her works in 1886 at a local exhibition and became a member of the Society of Polish artists in 1898. After a move to Paris, Boznanska also gained membership in the French National Society of Fine Arts and the Polish Society of Literature and Art. Boznanska received several highly distinguished awards for her work in the fine arts, including the French Legion of Honour (1912), the Golden Laurel from the Polish Academy of Literature (1936), and the Order of Polonia Restituta (1938).
