He also produced popular lithographs after the works of established French artists such as Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (1976–1875), Jean-François Millet (1814–1975), and Gustave Courbet (1819–1877). This painting likely depicts a harbor in Normandy or Brittany in northwest France, known for rugged coastlines and picturesque ports.
