Created in acknowledgement of Southern writer William Faulkner on the 50th anniversary of his death, an exhibition of the series was hosted by SCAD in 2013. While visiting Savannah and Telfair Museums, Gonnord asked longtime security staff member Mr. Eugene Ellison to pose for a photograph. The resulting portrait shows Mr. Ellison gazing directly ahead in three-quarters profile, set against a dark background.
