Shifting completely to color photography in 1971, Meyerowitz became one of the only fine-art photographers to successfully transition from shooting in black and white to exclusively in color. He travelled extensively through cities such as Atlanta, Cape Cod, St. Louis, and Pittsburgh to document landscapes, cityscapes, and portraits.
