Oscar J. H. DibbleAmerican, 1812 - 1860

Silversmith Oscar J.H. Dibble (1812-1860) was active in Savannah, GA c.1835-43. He was employed by D.B. Nichols from around 1835 until 1840, when he took over his shop. In 1841 property records, he is shown as owning two enslaved workers. He operated alone as O.J.H. Dibble 1842-43 (and was appointed as Keeper of the City Clock), then sold the Savannah business to T.T. Wilmot and moved to Columbus GA in 1843 to work for Wilmot there.
