Humphrey P. Horton

Silversmith Humphrey P. Horton (b.1822 in CT) was active in Savannah c. 1850-1856 in the partnership of Horton & Rikeman, a firm of watchmakers, jewelers, and silversmiths on Broughton St. He is listed in the 1860 Census as a Jeweler in Savannah with a wife Mary A., and an Irish servant Ann Briget; in the 1860 Slave Schedule with a Black Male age 14; and in the Tax Digest & Voter Records of 1863.
