Elaine de Kooning

Born in New York City, March 12, 1918. Studied at the Leonardo da Vinci Art School, the American Art School and with William de Kooning. Won Hallmark Award in 1960. Work is in MoMA. Has exhibited in New York, Houston, among other places. Has had One-Man Shows in New York at the Stable and Tibor de Nagy Galleries, University of Mexico, Gumps in San Francisco, etc. She has contributed many articles to Art news and other publications. Has held instructorship at the University of Mexico, Penn State university, Bartscht and Kelley Studios, Dallas, TX. Lectures to Museums, colleges and universities on art.
