Istvan Bosznay was born in Csurgo on October 19, 1869. He died in Budapest on November 1, 1944. He was a painter. He started his career as a drawing teacher in Debrecen. His works of "In Autumn", "In the Forest", and "On Radvanyi Puszta", which were displayed in the Art Gallery at the ind of 1890s, were purchased by the government. He became a teacher of the School of Arts in 1910. He was a fertile artist, and he got a lot of medals for his works. His paintings were exhibited twice in the "Nemzety Szalon" (National Parlor) in 1908 and 1918, in the Art Gallery in 1927 and in the School of Arts in 1933. Collection of his realistically painted works are being displayed in the National Gallery.
