Pocasset Iron Works, built in 1822 as a blast furnace in Pocasset, Mass., sold and rebuilt as a foundry in New York in 1832, producing stoves, hollow ware, and custom castings, bought by Tahanto Manufacturing Company in 1882, and later became part of Blackwell & Burr.
