Christopher A. D. Murphy, the first-born son of Christopher P. H. Murphy, studied at the Art Students League and spent much of his early life creating art in New York. In addition to painting and drawing, Murphy dedicated much of his career to printmaking, inspired by Art Students League artist and professor Joseph Pennell. Like his father, Murphy spent much of his career documenting scenes throughout Savannah. [Cyndi Sommers, Asst. Curator]
