Later, she studied art at the Mary Baldwin Seminary in Staunton, Virginia; New York School of Fine and Applied Arts (now the Parsons School of Design); the National Academy of Design; and the Art Students League. She was an active member of the Savannah Art Club and the Association of Georgia Artists, and exhibited extensively throughout the state.
