Copyright for some images are held by the artists and/or their estates. You agree not to download, copy, reproduce, publish or transmit or otherwise use any portion of this website including any images or text contained on this website except for your own personal non-commercial use or “fair use,” as this term is defined by current copyright laws, without written permission from Telfair Museums.

Telfair Museums provides images for educational presentations, professional research, print and electronic publications, and media projects. All requests for images must be made in writing. Permission for such use is granted at the sole discretion of the Telfair Museums. Please contact us for information concerning permissions, or to request digital photography of works in the collection.

What is “fair use”?

“Fair use” refers to the ability to download, print or reproduce an image or text for non-commercial, educational, or personal purposes barring the item is not modified from its original form and the source of the content properly cited with copyright, trademarks and all other proprietary notices included.
