Cabaniss was a member of the Association of Georgia Artists and studied at Columbia University, University of Georgia, University of Virginia, New York School of Normal Arts, and Art Students League of New York. She exhibited her work at the Telfair Academy, with the Southern States Art League, and participated in Philadelphia’s sesquicentennial celebration.
