Perkis remains faithful to traditional techniques ̶ using a Leica camera, shooting horizontally, and producing black and white prints. Philip Perkis is Professor Emeritus at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. He is author of Teaching Photography, Notes Assembled (2001).
