Silversmith Daniel Dupuy, Jr. was in partnership with his father Daniel Dupuy, Sr. and his brother John, a watchmaker, in Philadelphia at their South Second Street manufactory. Dupuy, Sr. retired c.1885, and his son, Dupuy, Jr. became the active silversmith of the family business. About 1790, his name began to appear in records without the suffix "junior".
