The leaves surrounding the twisted handles give them a vine-like appearance, and the colorful bouquets painted on each side of the vase present different assemblages of cultivated flowers. The gilt ornament that surrounds them, on the other hand, includes shells and coral-like decorations inspired by oceanic life. Text written for 'Lingua Flora,' on view from June 21–September 8, 2024.
