The stand contains a spirit lamp with butterfly closure, and an ivory knob. Square handles are surmounted by rams' heads. The tap handle has a dove-shaped finial.
Inscribed in the center of the urn are the initials "SGT," in memorial for Sarah Gibbons Telfair (1758-1827).
