Parents may find themselves competing with the powerful draw of the entertainment value of a game. Shauna Frischkorn’s series 'Game Boys' turns the attention away from the game and onto the actual players themselves.Frischkorn invited young men and boys to play their games for hours in her studio while she photographed them. Her portraits use strong raking light to highlight the faces of her subjects, creating similarities to the Baroque portrait tradition found in the works of Caravaggio.
